Located in the heart of Paris – above the Gare Montparnasse – MGEN’s Paris head office enjoys a prime location. This office building, which underwent its first major refurbishment in 1996, now needs to be modernised and brought up to the highest technical standards. Hardly visible from the street, a real effort has been made to create a visual identity by redefining the forecourt and signage. The facade of the forecourt, which once reflected the era in which it was built, is now open to the outside world. As a result, all the spaces in the hall have been redesigned to create coherence and genuine architectural quality. In keeping with the values espoused by MGEN and the agency, an organic, eco-responsible and innovative interior architecture has been created. All the office floors have been redesigned to replace the use of fan coil units with radiant ceilings, providing better thermal control and better definition of the spaces. The circulation cores are becoming more qualitative, offering a new vision of these user-friendly spaces.
