Icone, 32-34 rue Marbeuf Paris, France 2024
Icône Offices, 32-34 Rue Marbeuf, Paris 75008. Located in the heart of the “Golden Triangle” in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, the Icône Offices at 32-34 Rue Marbeuf encompass 10,500 square meters of prime office space. In the early 20th century, this area was a battleground for automobile manufacturers, each striving to outdo the other with bold designs to attract wealthy clientele to their modernist showrooms, crafted by architects such as Auguste Perret and Robert Mallet-Stevens. In 1929, Albert Laprade designed a striking showroom for Citroën at this address, featuring a dramatic glass façade that left a lasting impression on its contemporaries. However, the building has since undergone significant restructuring, which altered its original architecture, leading to a loss of its former appeal. Today, the building is set to be revitalized, emerging as a symbol of the 21st century.
