Through its architectural initiatives, Hermès reinforces its commitment to environmental sustainability by focusing on renovating existing buildings and certifying them as HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale) low-energy consumption structures. The company is also dedicated to reusing unused materials and decor for insulation and interior design, as well as sourcing furniture locally to minimize its carbon footprint. Located in Le Pré Saint-Gervais (93), the building known as “Le Carrousel”—a nod to Hermès’ origins as a saddler and harness-maker—now accommodates over 300 employees. This former ball-bearing factory was transformed through collaborative workshops with employees into a genuine Hermès creation, blending aesthetics and functionality to enhance the well-being of its occupants. Today, it stands as a vibrant space that embodies and shares the Hermès culture.

The client turned to the R381 and R346 infrared contactless mixers. With a water flow rate of 1.9L/min, these taps are among the most environmentally friendly available. Only the wall-mounted R381 tap is visible above the Corian trough for a refined and uncluttered effect.
