Factory-Loft Sanzillon Clichy, France 2018

The Sanzillon neighborhood is undergoing significant transformation. The extension of Paris Metro Line 14 aims to revitalize this area by connecting it more directly to the heart of Paris. Once a working-class town marked by the presence of the Citroën factory, Clichy is now experiencing gentrification and urban renewal, symbolized by the construction of the new Palais de Justice. The Factory-Loft project draws on the area’s industrial heritage, bridging the past and present through its urban planning, architectural typologies, and aesthetics. At the heart of the block, an interior space takes shape with generous green terraces arranged in a staggered pattern, connected by exterior zigzagging staircases. These communal platforms link each level and service, creating a framework for a new kind of interior mobility, made easier by digital tools.
