Once a 20th-century bank, this building is now the Chanel headquarters. The historic structure has been meticulously restored, blending its original charm with contemporary design to reflect the brand’s values. New elements, including outdoor spaces and vertical landscapes, seamlessly integrate the building into its urban environment, supporting biodiversity. Hidden from view, these modern additions preserve the building’s heritage while enhancing its intimacy. Light plays a central role in the architecture, with a sculpted atrium and a striking staircase becoming focal points. The new workspaces are bright and open, connecting with the surrounding Parisian blocks. The materials used—shiny enamel, matte metal, and white acrylic stone—nod to the building’s historic roots and the fashion house’s iconic black-and-white palette. This 18,235 m² headquarters not only honors its past but also embraces the present, creating a comfortable and functional space that redefines its legacy.
