The 173 Haussmann, former headquarters of La Française, acquired by Invesco Real Estate at the end of 2015, is the first building in Europe to be able to recycle its grey water, thanks to the plant structure installed on the roofs. The main feature of this 300 m² green terrace is its bio-filtering system. The waste water is conveyed to a basin, where it is vertically filtered and then transformed by the micro-organisms of the plants attached to their roots. It is a totally autonomous closed-loop system where the plant structure transforms grey water into drinking water: the latter is then used to irrigate plants. For a harmonization, the entire fitting and sanitary accessories were supplied in brushed stainless steel.
