Duten, in continuous motion for products fixed in time

Minimal design / Maximum rigour

At Duten, we design products that are not only durable but seamlessly integrate into the spaces where they are used. These spaces are symbolized by a diagonal line crossing a void—representing the areas our products are designed to fill.

The slash (“/”) is the core element of Duten’s identity. While it has been used in various ways, it has never taken on a central visual role—until now. We have elevated the slash to a prominent aesthetic feature, giving it a new purpose: to illustrate the empty space awaiting a designer’s creative decision.

Optimum choices for your plans

In both graphic and architectural design, a diagonal line often marks a zone’s geometric presence, signifying that it is “under construction” or “to be determined.” This visual cue tells the architect that this space is ready to be brought to life. By placing our products alongside or atop this diagonal line, we signal : “Here’s an element for your creations—it’s ready for you to use, to position as you see fit.” This diagonal zone serves as a constant reminder of the architect’s role as the creator of space.

This zone is more than a visual tool; it’s a powerful aesthetic marker that aids in the composition of design layouts. It keeps design zones open and airy, supporting the fluid movement of objects. We’ve named this dynamic space “Slashbox.”

A team dedicated to research & development

We are continually seeking new systems and alternatives to enhance our environmental impact and offer you the most sustainable products. By staying at the forefront of technology, our team actively explores future possibilities to incorporate into innovative prototypes.

Prolonging life to produce less

We have spent years developing a concept that fosters a virtuous cycle. Even today, most used or old items are simply discarded, which is something we were determined to change with our products. To make our products last virtually forever, we created Mue Concept. This program is designed to refresh, replace, and restore parts, allowing each item to be reborn, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

A minimal footprint…

A unique way to save water

As well as being hygienic, saving water is a major advantage of infrared touch-free taps. By switching off the flow as soon as the user removes their hands, we save up to 60% of water compared with a conventional mixer tap! When we develop an electronic tap, we always look as closely as possible at the ratio between water savings and user comfort.

Towards a stainless future

Many of our taps and accessories are made from solid stainless steel, a resilient and non-corrosive material. It is the most wear-resistant steel for this type of use. We’re looking at how we can apply this same thinking to other products in our portfolio.

Every Gesture Counts

We are dedicated to constantly exploring and implementing innovative systems that enhance our environmental impact and offer you the most sustainable products possible. Our commitment extends beyond compliance; it embodies our core values and our aspiration to lead in environmental stewardship. Our goal is to continually improve by adopting advanced practices that not only minimize waste but also champion and foster a circular economy.
